Which Mapping Software For Creating Bicycle Routes Would You Recommend?

Hi,
I would like to purchase a software application or use a website that would allow me to do the following:
* Map out bicycle routes and print the finished map that includes road names.
* Add and print turn-by-turn instructions.
* Note the locations of bathroom facilities, parks, stores, bike shops, picnic areas, coffee shops, and other splace of interest. Ideally, I could note the place either on the route or near to the route.
The software would calculate and show the mileage between turns as well as the route’s total mileage.
If I map a route in which I turn around at its farther point, and ride the same route in reverse, the software should double the route’s mileage.
The closest option I found was www.mapmyride.com, but I kept experiencing difficulties, so I gave up on that site for now. They are definitely on the right track, however.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
CycleMan

Map my Ride, Bikely.com, and bike radar has some excellent maps. These are easy to use, hightlighted and easy to make. They also have the icons that you want ! You can also use road mapping or hybrid maps here.

What you are asking for is pretty comprehensive. I haven’t found one with ALL the features you are looking for. The one I use is mentioned in the link given by M R. If you want mileage to each turn on Toporoute — all you have to do is hold the cursor at the point you plotted and the miles to that point appears until you move the cursor again.
